Wildlife Walk - Thursday 11th April 2019 - 10:30 to 11:30 This was the annual well-being walk themed on wildlife and birds in particular. We had a large turnout which was pleasing - but was not good for seeing and talking about our birds. The Blackbird with the white collar greeted us at Ridley's Court. It has been around for a long time. After teasing us for some weeks; the Egyptian Geese finally revealed their family of 8 very young goslings. They had first been seen on Tuesday (9th April). We saw them on the far bank of the lake as we walked around. The Great Crested Grebes were still sitting on their nest. We hope they have got young but we have not seen them yet. There were two Pied Wagtails on the croquet lawn. A full list of the birds seen is in the Bird Table .
