Saturday 5th October 2019 - 09:00 to 10:30 There was a Jay on our garden as we set off to the park. Typically, we did not see one in the park. It was grey, misty and cooler than recently. Autumn is coming and the colours of the leaves are changing. A Coal Tit was posing on the antlers of the stag on the top of the totem pole. A pair of Egyptian Geese flew across as we approached the lake but they did not land. There were several Goldcrests seen in different trees in the gardens and by the lake. The Blackbirds and Song Thrushes are feeding on the yew berries. It was a treat to see a Chiffchaff among the Blue Tits and Goldfinches . We saw the full set of Woodpigeon , Stock Dove and Collared Dove . There was a small flock of House Sparrows . A full list of the birds seen is in the Bird Table .
