Sunday 23rd February 2020 - 12:00 to 14:00For once it was not raining. We even enjoyed some sunshine and patches of blue sky.The pair of Egyptian Geese were seen with 9 very young goslings for the first time on 19th February. Today they had 8 babies with them. They are generating a lot of interest with people photographing them, feeding them and noticing how they are doing. Last year they produced their brood in April which was later than usual. In 2018 it was the same week in February as this year. The pair of Great Crested Grebes have been working on their nest. One of them was sitting on it from time to time. We saw several birds that are not common here, including: Sparrowhawk; Kingfisherand Long-tailed Tits.A full list of birds seen is given in the Bird Table.
