It was a glorious sunny day with clear blue skies.
A solitary
Greylag Goose
was trying to mingle with all the
Canada Geese
.
A
Treecreeper
,
Nuthatch
,
Coal Tit
and
Jay
were the less common birds seen.
A large
Terrapin
was sunning on a log.
Yesterday while taking part in the South East Rivers Trust walk along the Gatwick
Stream
in Grattons Park
we saw a
Kingfisher
and a
Buzzard
. Today there was a
pretty
Grey Wagtail
and three
Crayfish
there.
The wild flower area at the side of the lake has been prepared and sown with
grasses and flowers. Let us hope for a show in the spring.
A full list of birds seen is given in the
Bird Table
.
