Tuesday 16th November 2021 - 10:30 to 12:30 It was bright, sunny morning with a brilliant blue sky. The autumn colours reflected in the lake were beautiful. The juvenile Mute Swan , which arrived a few days ago, is still on the lake. Two Cormorants , one adult and one juvenile, were fishing and did not like the Swan coming too close. Unusually there was not a single Canada Goose in the park. They must have moved elsewhere to graze. The Black-headed Gulls were out in force and there were plenty of Mallards . It was nice to see a Grey Heron , a Collared Dove and a Song Thrush . We were hoping to find a Redwing and some other winter visitors but no luck this time. A full list of birds seen is given in the Bird Table .
