Wednesday 13-04-2022 - 11:00 to 13:00 There was a childrens book event in the park this morning. It was nice to see it so lively and busy - but not so good for finding birds. The Mallard still has two growing ducklings. The pair of Egyptian Geese still have two goslings. Another pair of adults were on the lake and causing territory disputes. The Moorhen is still sitting on the nest. It turned into a raptor morning. A Buzzard was circling high up. A Sparrowhawk flew across the park. Then as we were leaving a Red Kite drifted over. There were both Mistle and Song Thrushes. A Grey Heron was perched in a tree on one of the smaller islands. One Great Crested Grebe was about. A full list and count of the birds seen is given in the Bird Table .
